LNHS stakeholders sign anti-drug MOATo protect LNHS students
from crimes and proliferation of dangerous drugs, various stakeholders of the
school signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last May 20, 2013 at the school
gymnasium.
Among others, the memorandum states that LNHS will not tolerate possession of dangerous drugs inside the school. Should any of its students be found to be in possession of dangerous drugs or any contrabands, the school would make immediate coordination with the concerned government agencies. The memorandum also spells out responsibilities of Ligao National High School (LNHS), School Governing Council (SGC), General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA), Supreme Student Government (SSG), LNHS Faculty Club, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Parole and Probation Office (CPPO), and Department of Education (DepEd,) in ensuring the welfare of the students. Present during the MOA signing ceremony were: Carmelita A. Sinson, Secondary School Principal III of LNHS Pastor Modesto E. Preña, Chairman of SGC Pastor Melchor Buenaflor, President of GPTA Carlo Magno P. Pamorada, President of LNHS Faculty Club Ajay Broma, President of SSG Gina R. Balingbing, President of Alumni Association P/Supt. Benjamin B. Balingbing, OIC, Ligao City PNP Juditha M. Wanasen from City Social Welfare and Development Agent Noe S. Briguel from PDEA Atty. Carlo Martin Adille, a regional associate prosecutor and an SGC member, explained the salient points of the MOA to parents and students who were present during the event. The signing was made part to coincide with the opening program of this year’s Brigada Eskwela where Atty. Adille was the guest speaker.
